REGION 1 (LIVE OAK, NORTHBLUFF, HASLEY HILLS, HILLCREST PARK, WILLIAMS RANCH) and REGION 2 (VAL VERDE) - VACANCY OPENING - DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION IS MARCH 3, 2026
Due to a vacancy on the council, the Castaic Area Town Council is requesting applications from residents of Region 1 (Live Oak, Northbluff, Hasley Hills , Hillcrest Park, Williams Ranch) and Region 2 (Val Verde) where the vacancies has occurred. The interim council member shall serve until 2026, the position is formally filled at the next Castaic Area Town Council election.
To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of a minimum of one year, a registered voter, and reside within the boundaries of the Castaic Area Town Council Region 2. Your application must be received or postmarked by the council no later than 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Because the remainder of the term of office is (1) one year or less, per our bylaws, the Town Council will appoint by majority vote an interim council member from the applications received and there is no filing fee.

Qualifications

A candidate shall be: At least 18 years of age

A Resident of Castaic for a Minimum for One Year

Must reside in Region 2, Val Verde

A Registered voter within the boundaries of the Castaic Area Town Council Inc.

The Castaic Area Town Council Inc. shall not borrow money nor incur indebtedness.

Strive to accurately mirror in its policies and actions the positions and concerns of the residents of the Castaic Areas.

Represent the region and community with equal consideration. Time Commitments.
