HOW TO APPLY FOR COUNCIL ELECTIONS
THE GENERAL ELECTIONS FOR ALL 5 REGIONS WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 7, 2020 AT THE CASTAIC SPORTS COMPLEX, TIMES TBA.
Applications are now being accepted beginning September 7 through October 7, 2020, post marked. Please fill out the online form below or mail in an application letter along with a $50 application fee by October 7, post marked.

The Castaic Area Town Council has the 5 Region Elections every two years. Information and deadlines will be added as they come up. Please note that a general election for the 5 Regions occur every 2 years. Exceptions would be special elections or vacancies and resignations.
You will need to submit a letter of interest and qualifications, including a contact phone number and email for correspondence.
Region Map: Castaic is divided into five geographic regions, each represented by two seats on the Town Council.
Region 1: Live Oak, North Bluffs, Hillcrest Park, Hasley Hills and the Valencia Commerce Center
Region 2: Val Verde Area
Region 3: Hasley, Sloan and Romero Canyons
Region 4: Meadowood, Bravo, Encore, Castaic east of I-5 & south of Lake Hughes Road
Region 5: Double C Ranch, Hidden Lake, Stonegate, NorthLake, Castaic east of I-5 and north of Lake Hughes Road
A candidate shall be:
At least 18 years of age
A Resident of Castaic for a Minimum for One Year
A Registered voter within the boundaries of the Castaic Area Town Council Inc. (A candidate can only be elected and serve in the Region in which they reside.)
• The Castaic Area Town Council Inc. shall not borrow money nor incur indebtedness.
• Strive to accurately mirror in its policies and actions the positions and concerns of the residents of the Castaic Areas.
• Represent the region and community with equal consideration.Time Commitments
Length of Term: Directors of the Castaic Area Town Council Inc. shall serve for a term of four years.
Meetings: There are two meetings a month; an agenda-setting meeting normally held the 1st Wednesday of the month and the town hall meeting held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. If warranted special meetings other than the agenda and town hall could be called. The month of December is dark and no meeting is held
